Working under the overall supervision of the WASH Officer and the direct supervision of the Project Assistant (WASH), will support the communal hygiene promotion activities that IOM will implement to guarantee the sustainability of its Water Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) interventions.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  1. Support the team in hygiene promotion activities as required.
  2. Carry out hygiene promotion sessions with IDPs and affected communities.
  3. Organize the distribution of hygiene kits.
  4. Inform the WASH team about community requests and facilitate communication between beneficiaries and WASH teams.
  5. Refer hygiene promotion message to the CHVs (community Hygiene Volunteers) and the project related community people.
  6. Support in conducting hygiene promotion related assessments including PDM, KAP etc.
  7. Any other duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience


  • Training in hygiene promotion and community development


  • Minimum 01 years’ experience in Hygiene Promotion and Community Response in humanitarian context.


English and Arabic
